Tuesday Frosty

Happy december, people <3
This morning when I got out of bed and looked out of the window – everything was beautiful and frosty! With december came frost degrees and awesomeness.
I have most of this week left to study for my exam on monday, with the exception of one lecture and going out shopping for a bridal gown with P! Boyfriend and I finally got our invitation to the wedding, and it’s the cutest thing ever. I’m so excited!
I’m totally behind on my xmas shopping though, behind on everything really!

Thursday Back to life?

Today we show off our final major projects for this semester. We’ve planned an opening where everybody can come look. I really look foreward to getting back to real life. I’ve been attacked by stressful dreams (last night topped all though) and a semi-cold.

Monday Mellow

The worst of this week is over! (And some of the best)
We’ve been working like mad to finish off our remediation of Antichrist, the film, and thursday it finally climaxed with the opening of our show. (Our piece was a big mobile home that we isolated completely from light, then installed a mp3-player with speakers playing a soundtrack – a remediation of Antichrist.
It went okay, the sad thing was, though, that people were too scared to go into the mobile home! Apparently weird sounds and darkness don’t appeal to people! But from the few people who did go in and tried out the experience we got good feedback.

I think today is going to be a good day. I got up early to get a good start on the day, and I’ve been reading blogs and having coffee – the way I like to spend my mornings!
From my office I have a view over a grave yard – scary as can be, it’s still very beautiful at dusk (with candle lights) and in the afternoons (with the sun in between the trees).
I have to finish off a synopsis for tomorrow, and I’m planning to get my christmas decorations out, shop, maybe do a bit of christmas shopping??

It’s been a tough weekend, but a fun one too. My old class from high school had a christmas dinner-thing, and it turned out to be great fun. So great that I had to leave semi-early from the lack of ability to stand on my own feet.

Tuesday Good Day

After looking at photos at Miss Pandora’s blog, I really started missing Paris. I want to go, I want to go back. Uhm Paris, you’re such a heart breaker.
I’m sorry for the lack of posting the past days, but I’m in over my head in exams and uni work, and when I finally have the time to relax its my bed and my couch calling.

Today is going to be a good day. There’s a clear sky, the sun is rising over the graveyard that we live next to (photos as soon as my card reader will obey my words) and I’m having loads of coffee before going to uni around 1pm.
It’s going to be a good day.

Tuesday Curiosity

A while ago, in october actually, I mentioned a photography project I did for uni. We were working with the theme of Privacy. We, or I, photographed some scenes at a doctors and at a pharmacy, to portray the problem of wanting to be private within either of these two places. (It was based on our own experience of course).

Today I got to experience this problem first hand and at its worst. Obviously I had to go to the pharmacy, but when I then step foreward to the counter and request my items I can feel the pharmacist and his client next to me stop talking. Actually the register drawer bumps into the pharmacists stomach in a moment of inattention… It was a very awkward and uncomfortable situation, but as well so grotesque that I’m able to laugh at it.

The photos above are from our project, and especially the second one really portray what I was talking about.

Ps. A young guy on the bus lightened up my mood. He was listening to what I presume was hiphip (according with his head movements). He was bright red in his face, bobbing his head to a rhythm none of us could hear and singing a long once in a while. I had to jump out of the bus so I wouldn’t stop laughing.

Tuesday Belle du Jour

It’s an hour since I got up, and I’m still scratching my eyes and being very much ‘just-out-of-the-bed’. I was just looking over the news and mixed in with the rest I suddenly see “Anonymous blog-whore throws off her mask”, and however slightly vulgar the headline might have been I was still intrigued as to Billie Piper being on the photograph next to the headline.

The girl behind Belle du Jour is suddenly reveiled! I’m really not sure how to feel about this.

Sunday Annoyance

I just realised that it had been a while since I’ve been doing my mood shots here on the blog.

That’s why I actually took some, but for some reason my card reader has chosen today to give up on life.

Sunday is the day for being restless, and so I am. Now I’m going to sit down with my cup of organic earl grey (highly recommendable) and Hal Fosters Compulsive Beauty, and hopefully disappear for a few hours.

Sunday Easy

Yet another sunday filled with practical plans and duties (because I spend all saturday doing nothing). I have to study and write my thesis statement for my surrealism project, fix photos, write a bunch of emails, do some research for a remediation project and and and.

It seems like the heavy duvey of clouds that has been covering Aarhus is getting lighter. I have not yet seen the apartment in sunlight – maybe I’ll get the opportunity today?
